DIY painting kit gives new meaning to the term ‘art-lover’, as couples create at-home masterpieces while making love
The newest trend in do-it-yourself art uses one part intimacy, one part romance and one part specially-formulated non-toxic, washable paint.
Artist Jeremy Brown’s at-home kit allows couples to create a one of a kind abstract painting while making love – and rolling around naked on a non-allergenic cotton canvas, in dollops of paint.
Once completed, the painting can be stretched, framed and hung on the wall – a testament and reminder of the love that was shared.

Nationally and internationally recognized, Mr Brown’s concept pieces collected praise after his art exhibit in Atlanta last year which showcased twenty black & white paintings created by twenty anonymous couples.
In his collection of Love Is Art kits, priced from $60 to $110, a variety of colors and textures are available.

Couples can customise their experience using either red, white or monochromatic tints like copper and silver, as well as equality-themed stencils, where 15per cent of the proceeds will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign.
The kit includes a plastic sheet to roll onto the floor underneath the specially treated canvas, as well as a 4oz bottle of specially formulated paint, where you then simply use your body, or bodies, to move the paint around and across the canvas, creating a bespoke abstract image.

Disposable slippers are also included, enabling couples to walk to the shower to wash the paint off.
After the painting has dried, the canvas can be stretched onto a frame at a local art shop, or at home using stretching bars and a staple gun.
The South African born artist, who has been painting for over a decade, says he draws inspiration from French artist Yves Klein, who made art in the 1960’s by directing human models covered in paint.
It was after a close friend complimented him on a painting that was hung inside his house that she asked him to provide her with everything she needed to make a painting with her husband on their anniversary.

Mr Brown put together a package with the materials she would need and a how-to note for them to follow, and the idea for the Love Art Kit was born.
He then spent six months researching and developing materials to ensure the paint and the canvas were safe for sensitive skin-types, redefining romance and creativity in the process .
One woman said on the artist’s website: ‘I gave this to my boyfriend on his birthday. We loved it, we put the paint on in 4 different spots in the shape of hearts and it turned out amazing.
‘Best of all is when we have people over and they look at the painting and ask were it’s from and we look at each other and smile and say, “garage sale” Its our inside joke that will never end. ‘
