Step-by-Step Tutorial for Drawing an Anime Dress
Easy steps to draw an eye-catching Anime Dress
Elegant, formal, seductive – with this dress, your anime woman can be whatever you want her to be.
Anime Dress drawing – Step 1
1. Begin by drawing the girl’s shoulders. Use a long curved line for each shoulder, and a short curved line to contour the neck.
You can refer to the anime girl template in order to get the proportions just right.

2. Use curved lines to outline the dress’s neck and cold shoulder openings. Draw a second line parallel to the neckline.
Below it, draw an oval-shaped keyhole cutout. Then, use short lines to contour the collar bones, cleavage, and tops of the arms.

3. Use curved lines to trace the bottoms of the sleeves and the sides of the dress. Notice how it flares out widely at the hips.

4. Draw a wavy curved line to connect the two sides of the dress. Then, draw a second wavy line parallel to the first, enclosing a stripe.
Below the stripe, extend two short lines, and connect them with a wavy line. This forms another layer of the tiered dress.

5. Draw a wavy line parallel to the bottom of the second tier. Extend two more lines below this stripe, and connect them with a pair of wavy lines, forming a third striped tier. Contour the fabric of the dress using vertical lines.

6. Sketch the girl’s arms using long curved lines. Note the short lines detailing the elbow and fingers.

7. Contour the fabric of the dress with additional vertical lines.

8. Extend a long curved line and double it back upon itself to outline the girl’s leg and high-heeled shoe. Band the foot with curved lines to highlight the body and strap of the shoe.

9. Draw the remaining leg and shoe. Notice that it is drawn at a different angle as if the girl’s leg is perched on her toes.
