Cartoon Club – Online Drawing Class for Kids
Join me at Cartoon Club – an online drawing class for kids who love to doodle! Perfect for children who love cartoons and want to learn to draw and think creatively.
Cartoon Club for Kids: 1-hour online drawing class for ages 8 – 12 with a fun, creative, narrative theme each week.
Time: Saturdays 3:00 – 4:00 pm UK time
You’ll need: A pencil and A4 printer-sized paper or a sketchbook. You may also want a black fine liner and eraser.
Login to Class: You’ll receive an email confirmation with instructions on how to login once you register for our cartooning class. Then just login a few minutes before the time of your online class and have fun!
Booking: Please include your child’s name and age when you book. You can book a block of six classes (one per week) or you can book classes one at a time. You can reschedule a class with 24 hours notice by using your email confirmation.

Is your child always doodling? Do they love to create cartoons? This is the online drawing class for them! At Cartoon Club for Kids we are a small, friendly group that draws together on our online platform via Zoom. We’re open to anyone who likes to sit, doodle and dream up cartoons.
Cartoon Club was set up by me, artist Sarah Jane Vickery, with the aim of helping more kids learn to draw by sharing their love of cartoons – and ultimately, having fun while building creative confidence.
What will children learn?
Children will enjoy fun doodling challenges, cartoon drawing exercises and learn techniques from my Doodle Colour Discover workbook inspiring curiosity and a creative mindset.
Cartoon Club for Kids: 1-hour online drawing class for ages 8 – 12 with a fun, challenging, narrative cartoon theme each week.
Drawing lessons include capturing expression, using angles to add excitement, bringing characters to life with motion, and telling a comic story. Each drawing class for kids has a theme linked to a creative challenge to help children discover a style all their own. The online class is designed for the given age ranges but it’s up to you as to which class type your child is best suited for.
Cartoons are a fantastic way of engaging kids’ imagination. My approach to cartooning is about being curious, observant and experimental. Drawing is really about learning to see. Each drawing class leads students through the design process – children discover they can draw pictures they never imagined possible. This method not only improves drawing ability but also gives children the confidence to express their ideas visually and the skills to apply this thinking to other creative challenges.
About the course

Art is universally considered one of the best forms of expression of emotions and creativity; this course is specially designed with a team of artists to introduce art and craft to beginners. Each student will create their masterpiece with different techniques and mediums.

Learning Map
These online art and craft classes are designed to provide a holistic learning experience to your child from Day-1. The student will start with fundamentals of shapes and basic colour palettes and gradually move towards creating detailed illustrations.
Month 1
EXPLORE 7 ELEMENTS OF ART (08 SESSIONS)
Students will learn the basics of art like dry mediums, one-directional coloring, handling of paints and brushes, and the first few elements of art such as lines, shape, and form to build a strong foundation for this course!
Month 2
CREATE MAGIC WITH COLORS (08 SESSIONS)
Students will learn about primary, secondary, and tertiary colours, gain hands-on experience with colours-shades, tones, and tints, and practice textures using various techniques, tools, and tricks!
Month 3
LEARN ABOUT FORM AND TEXTURE (08 SESSIONS)
Students will focus on form, texture, and space, learn the techniques that play an important role in art, such as scissoring, pasting, and folding, and revisit all 7 elements of art!
