Pintyplus – Art – Gesso Primer – 400ml

Pintyplus spray Gesso 400ml

One of our bestsellers. Apply Gesso to an absorbent surface and it acts like a filler and sealer, therefore reducing the amount of paint required and allowing you to rework the paint for a short time, as well as providing a smoother surface to work on. You can even wash it within the first few minutes with soap and water.

This is an artists’ dream product and it can be applied to a wide range of materials. It allows adhesion to difficult-to-coat, absorbent surfaces.

Once dry, it can be painted immediately.

Applications:

Allows adhesion on different types of absorbent surfaces, with or without relief, like:

  • canvas (cotton, linen, and polyester)
  • wood
  • plywood
  • plasterboard
  • cardboard
  • Papier-mâché
  • concrete

Technical characteristics:

Coverage: 400ml = 2 m2
Drying: surface 30 minutes. Total 24 hours

How to apply:

1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free of any contaminants before application. Shake the can vigorously for 1 minute.

2. Spray from a distance of 25-30cm, applying thin and quick layers, first horizontally and then vertically. It is advisable to spray two thin layers instead of one thick layer in order to obtain uniform coverage and avoid paint runs.

3. Once the operation is complete, reverse the can and push the nozzle until only gas comes out in order to avoid blockage of the nozzle.

Do not use on devices connected to the power grid and apply in ventilated areas.

Tips:

For a coloured finish, repaint with Pintyplus AQUA or EVOLUTION.

In order to get a super smooth surface finish, apply several thin coats, let it dry and sand it lightly until you archieve the desired texture.

Applied to large surfaces, it will significantly reduce the amount of paint required to coat the surface.

Order delays due to Covid-19 Restrictions

Notes regarding online orders during this time.

Due to high-level order volumes and having to reduce the amount of staff allowed in the warehouse at any time, we have had to make some changes. We apologise for this, it’s not something we would usually do but our staff are struggling under customer requests and it slows our processes down.

Please note –

By agreeing to these terms and conditions you understand the following –

  • No changes can be made to your order once confirmed. We can not add, remove or adjust your order.
  • Please ensure the address is correct BEFORE you confirm your order. We are not responsible for address mistakes.
  • Our same day dispatch is currently not running. Orders are taking between 1-4 days to be processed.
  • Express orders do have priority but we CAN NOT guarantee they will be sent the same day
  • If you have any issues with your order, we kindly ask that you send an email and be respectful. 99% of our amazing customers are very understanding but the staff do get abusive emails and phone calls. This is not ok, they are doing their best!
  • Please allow up to 24 hours for a reply. Our social team on Facebook and Instagram do not have access to the online order system and can not help you.

Art Shed is working around the clock to get your art supplies to you. We ask for your patience and understanding during this very trying time.

Thank you for supporting a small family business
