We are thrilled to offer a space where guests of all ages can express themselves creatively! Sip, build, and paint! Here is a little info about our local owners. The Rustic Brush – Katy is a DIY Studio locally owned by Jennifer and Dana since December 2022.
Jennifer is originally from Michigan, but has enjoyed living in Texas since moving here to attend Texas A&M University. She has worked in the Packaging Distribution industry for 20 years. Her husband is a US Marine Veteran and they are proud parents of their two beautiful children. They are very involved members of their church, and they love spending time with their family and taking road trips.
Jennifer attended workshops at The Rustic Brush – Katy and the studio became a crafting oasis. When she heard the studio maybe closing and transitioning to a mobile operation, she couldn’t bare the thought of losing her beloved studio, so she jumped on the opportunity of owning a studio of her own! She is excited about all the memories she’s made, the memories she is making, and the memories she will make with you in the studio!
Board & Brush Lets You Show Off Your Creativity in La Jolla
A new La Jolla creative studio called Board & Brush is celebrating its recent expansion into San Diego’s jewel with a grand opening ceremony.
Board & Brush is a franchise of DIY studios that offer a variety of creative classes on woodworking and custom graphics. It’s a similar concept to a wine and paint night but includes working with raw wood for a rustic touch.
Participants in a Board & Brush creative workshop will enjoy their favorite beverage while preparing for the DIY work ahead. From there, they’ll be guided through distressing wood, assembling boards, and carefully choosing stain and paint options.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never worked with wood before. Expert instructors teach you all the skills you’ll need at each workshop. The workshop also provides participants with all the tools necessary for beautiful works of art.
The result is a beautiful “farmhouse vintage” decor item that workshop attendees can keep or gift to a loved one.

Teach and earn
We will handle all payments. All you need to do is list your event on our website using our super easy template and once your customers have attended your class, we’ll pay your money direct to you minus our fees.
We charge you an annual licence fee and then only 8% of your listing price. The only other fees that apply are equipment rental and your contribution to National marketing. We will clearly lay this out for you and no other fees will apply. Your licence fee is annual, we are always happy to spread this over the first 6 months of the year.
We believe it takes time to grow a business, so we offer our licences for a 2 year minimum term.
Marketing
Marketing your Brush Party business is managed at two levels: local and national.
Local: You will manage the local marketing of your Brush Party area and will likely start doing this as soon as you commit to buying your licence for your area.
There are many ways we market Brush Party. Our team will train you on how best to encourage interaction and contact in the community and on social media channels. In addition to your own Facebook page, we have developed a suite of ‘how-to’ guidelines on grammar, imagery, online networking and much more, to help you to use every channel as effectively as possible.
National: Aside from your marketing efforts in your area, the UK marketing team will support the promotion of your business by developing and promoting the Brush Party brand nationally. Increasing brand recognition across the UK benefits all our operators.
Our extensive and proven painting library grows each month as our team of artists add to it. You will never be short of new paintings to choose from.
The Paint & Sip industry
The “Paint and Sip” industry is an established concept in the USA and has seen substantial growth over the last decade, proving long term stability. Here in the UK, it is still a relatively undiscovered, unsaturated market. We’re about to change that!
