Premium Paint for Composites
ChromaGlast™ Single-Stage Polyurethane Paint is a high gloss coating which does not require a base coat or clear coat. It is designed to protect composite and metal substrates providing an extremely durable, high gloss finish which builds quickly and requires fewer coats to achieve full hiding. This premium paint is easy to mix, easy to spray and fast drying. ChromaGlast™ was developed with the latest polyurethane coating technologies to provide ultimate performance and durability. It is compatible with polyester, epoxy and vinyl ester resin systems as well as SMC and most metals. It can be used with new work or repairs with a formula trusted by OEM’s worldwide. ChromaGlast™ is a low VOC formulation (2.8 VOC max.).
We offer ChromaGlast paint both in kits, including the correct quantities of our #5025 Drying Accelerator and #5027 Paint Hardener, and as stand-alone mixed colors. Please note that if stand-alone mixed colors are purchased, #5025 Drying Accelerator and #5027 Paint Hardener are required. Thin up to 10% using #5028 Exempt Solvent.
Quart Kits include 3/4 Quart of Paint, (1) #5027-A, and (1) #5025-A.
Gallon Kits include 3/4 Gallon of Paint, (4) 5025-A, and (4) 5027-A.

Tips
- 1 mil of dry paint will provide coverage up to 635ft² per ready-to-spray gallon. Use up to 4 mil dry (6 mil wet) on coatings for harsh environments. 1.5 mil dry (2.4 mil wet) is sufficient for most other applications.
- Sold in 3/4 quarts and ¾ gallons, which provides a full quart or gallon when three parts of paint are mixed with one part #5027 Paint Hardener and #5025 Drying Accelerator (1.5 oz for quart, or 6 oz for gallon).
- Use a HVLP paint gun with a 1.3~1.5mm spray tip for best spraying results
- Prep your surface first with #5060/5062/5064 Primer Sealer/Surfacer (rough surfaces, or restorations), and/or #5050/5052/5054 Epoxy Primer (clean A finish surfaces) for best results
- ChromaGlast is typically sprayed. Most users will thin for spraying using #5028 Exempt Solvent to their personal preference up to 10%.

ChromaGlast Paint All of our custom color paints are available both as kits, and as stand-alone cans. The CK kits ship with (1) 3/4 Quart of Paint, (1) #5027-A 8 oz Paint Hardener, and (1) #5025-A 1.5oz Drying Accelerator. When mixed properly this gives you 1 Ready-to-Spray Quart. The DK kits ship with (1) 3/4 Gallon of Paint, (4) #5027-A 8 oz Paint Hardeners, and (4) #5025-A 1.5oz Drying Accelerators. When mixed properly this gives you 1 Ready-to-Spray Gallon. We also sell the 3/4 Quart and 3/4 Gallon paint colors as stand-alone items.
Royal Blue Candy Pearl – Custom Paint Pigment
This 25 gram bag of Royal Blue Candy Pearl powder is a great pigment for creating your very own tinted clears in custom paint or powder-coating applications. It is guaranteed to mix well with any clear paints or tinted candy paints, and has a temperature threshold of about 400 degrees fahrenheit. It is a very fine powder and will spray well through airbrushes, powder guns, and HVLP paint guns. It is very light, so it stays well mixed in paint without settling too fast in your gun, and can make great tinted clears for light to heavy effects (it’s your choice). One 25 gram bag our Royal Blue Candy Pearl treats 1 to 2 quarts of clear.
Remember, if you want your paint to take on the actual color of the Royal Blue candy pearl, we suggest painting it over a black base coat. If you already have a black car, then it can be scuffed up to make a good surface to paint on.
This Royal Blue Candy paint pigment can be used in a variety of clears, so they are not limited to custom auto paint. These can be mixed into screen printing ink, concrete sealer, gel coat, or faux finish to create metallic custom effects almost anywhere you choose.
We have seen our candy paint pigment used in many industries, including powder coating, plastic manufacturing, custom airbrush art, and gel coating. They work just as well for beginners as they do for professionals. One common mistake that beginners make is that they buy our DIY Paint Colors when they want to create a paint that changes in the sun, or as we call it, a “ghost” pearl paint job.
