How to Draw a Sheep
In this drawing guide, you can learn how to draw a sheep step by step. I’m sure you’ll really enjoy drawing this cute animal by following my simple instructions.
Sheep are quadrupedal, ruminant mammals typically kept as livestock. These animals are considered to be sweet and harmless. They are safe for humans and other animals. However, because of this, they are often unprotected from predators.
Now I suggest you start drawing a sheep.

How to Draw a Sheep

Draw the outline of the sheep’s head and torso. Depict the sheep’s head as a circle and the torso as a curved line.
Add facial features. Draw the sheep’s eyes as ovals, the nose as short straight lines, and the mouth as rounded lines.
Outline the animal’s ears. You can depict these elements the same on both sides of the sheep’s head.
Draw the wool on the sheep’s head. Sheep are usually curly, so draw the wool with lots of rounded lines.
Depict the hair on the animal’s body. Add lots of rounded lines of different sizes around the animal’s body.
Draw two sheep’s legs. The two legs should look the same. Draw hoof lines at the bottom of the feet.
Add two more legs. Draw legs, using straight and curved lines. They should look like the previously drawn legs.
Erase the auxiliary lines. Use the eraser to remove unnecessary lines from the sheep’s body.
Colour the drawing. Use shades of grey and black to colour the finished drawing.

Step 1: Head and mouth
First draw two small circles on top of each other with the pencil, the lower one being slightly smaller. These two circles serve as guide lines for the sheep’s face.
Draw the body of the sheep with an elongated oval.
Step 3: Legs
Now it’s the turn of the legs. Make sure you keep a natural posture. Use small circles to represent the joints. Sketch the hooves of the animal already here.
Sketch the neck, ears and head of the sheep with the pencil.
Step 5: First final contours
From now on, use a drawing pencil. Draw the head and body first, creating a blurred line that makes the sheep appear fluffy at the end.
Complete the sheep’s legs and face with the drawing pencil.
