Yaz brings out your inner artist and guides you through capturing the human body with various different exercises and techniques. No art skills necessary – you will leave with something you’re proud to have drawn! The wine helps release your creativity!

2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter’s right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.

Quentin Blake style pen & ink illustrations with artist Sarah Watson
Wednesday 26th September & Sunday 26th September
fabulous session and learn to draw your own Quentin Blake style pen and watercolour illustrations of your friends, family and pets! Your talented tutor and artist, Sarah Watson will teach you her secret methods to getting your drawing hand working just like Quentin’s to capture the immediate likeness and character of your subject in just a few quick strokes. You will then learn the art of watercolour wash, working in and outside of the line to capture the liveliness of the figure or face. Expect a lot of fun and laughs!
By the end of your session you will have grasped the technique and have drawn lots of lovely pictures.

Watercolours by the Lake with Artist Sarah Watson

Enjoy a fabulous day painting with Watercolours by our beautiful lake. Located amongst our 35acre estate you will have the opportunity to take in the wonderful scenery and beauty of nature.
During your day you will learn the process and best practices for painting using watercolours your talented tutor and artist, Sarah Watson will guide you through the steps focusing on composition, drawing, colour, value and paint handling. You will finish your session having completed some watercolour pictures and feel more confident and knowledgeable to continue to develop your skills.

Beginner’s Landscape Oil Painting with Artist Sara Penrose
Sunday 24th October 9.30am to 4pm
Create your own landscape oil painting in a day. Local artist Sara Penrose will guide you step-by-step, demonstrating and explaining the tools and materials, composition, colour mixing and various techniques for creating your very own landscape painting.
English landscapes can be complex enough to provide some challenges but also simple enough to enable a fun and relaxing day. Sara will show you how a picture can be dissected into several layers and how to build them up into your own work of art!
Enjoy the satisfaction that comes with not only learning a new skill but by accomplishing a finished canvas in a day.
Acrylic Landscape Painting Workshop with artist Laura Donaldson
2nd October 10am to 3.30pm
A creative day learning to use acrylics. Guided by expert tutor and artist Laura she will demonstrate methods of using acrylic paint to build-up of layers to create vibrant work. The class will take place in our 100sqm craft barn where you will take in the beautiful surrounding views of Hanwell Wine Estate for inspiration.
By the end of your day, you will expect to have completed 1 -2 acrylic pieces of artwork and have a better understanding of explored colour with this loose and speedy way of making work.

Pastel Animal Portrait for Beginners with Artist Sarah Watson
Sunday 26th October 9.30am to 1pm
Learn the art of capturing the unique likeness and character of an animal you love at this fantastic beginner’s workshop with the exceptionally talented artist Sarah Watson. The workshop is held in our comfortable, cosy heated barn, that offers inspiring views of the beautiful countryside of one of Nottinghamshire’s finest vineyards.
You will spend 3.5 hours relaxing and enjoy learning a new skill, while Sarah guides you through step by step showing you how to apply soft pastels with expressively identifying marks to capture his or her unique character, by the end of the session; you will have ideally completed your piece.
