‘PASSE ÇA À KEVIN’ présente une sélection de sérigraphies récentes de Benjamin Deshaies et Mathieu Dubois, colocataires d’atelier depuis quelques années. Créatures étranges, mascottes déchues et autres personnages colorés peuplent les œuvres imprimées sur panneaux de bois. Drôle et faussement minimaliste, le duo présente leur univers personnel situé à la frontière de l’illustration et du cartoon.
Drink and Draw with Indy Arts
Drawing can be a mindful practice, it gives us a chance to slow down and focus without the pressures of judgement or time. Indy Arts, a.k.a. visual artist India, is encouraging people to pick up a pencil and allow themselves the freedom to draw with wild abandon. Join them for life drawing with a difference at Withington Public Hall or The Old Abbey Taphouse in Drink and Draw.
The casual settings of these classes allow you to chat, drink and eat while you explore the shapes, curves and colours of the studies. All abilities are welcome. You might be an established artist looking for new inspiration, or a curious person looking for a new hobby or creative project.

In each session, India will curate a new still life set up in the middle of the room. This may be made up of objects, furniture or ornaments but you can be sure that the composition will be an interesting and inspiring set up from any angle. Keep an eye out for hints and clues about what each session setup will look like on the Indy Arts social media.
Drawing materials will be provided but anyone is welcome to bring their own materials, media or arts supplies if they have preferred tools to draw with. Your first drink is included with the ticket price and you can even try Withy Public Halls pizza or the Taphouse’s delicious fries while you work.
The relaxing power of creativity can never be underestimated and local arts evenings like these are a great way to meet like-minded people and learn about the artistic practices around you. Find your own creative aesthetic with the friendly encouragement of India and the other drawers in a warm and welcoming space with Drink and Draw.

Montreal’s favourite zine, comic and small press fair is on this weekend, and the opening party is tonight! Grab your sketchbooks, your cameras, your wallets and head on over to EXPOZINE for two creative, colourful, and sweaty days of discovery. Below is everything you need to know from the organizers.

EXPOZINE est une célébration culturelle indépendante qui réunit environs 300 créateurs de la chose imprimée : livres, fanzines, bandes dessinées et ce, en anglais comme en français, pour une des plus grandes foires de Montréal.
Depuis les neuf dernières années, Expozine s’est développée de manière exponentielle, à travers ses milliers de visiteurs, devenant ainsi une figure de proue dans son domaine. Les exposants proviennent de partout au Canada, de France et des États-Unis, pour venir présenter leur travail dans le cadre de la manifestation bilingue de l’édition indépendante la plus réputée en Amérique!

Il commence à faire frisquet et il est grand temps de nous envoyer vos applications pour la prochaine édition de Puces d’Hivers! Le tout se déroulera le 18-19 Décembre à l’Église Saint Enfant Jésus sur St-Dominique et St-Joseph. Hâtez-vous de nous envoyer les informations suivantes d’ici le 8 Novembre!
* Envoyez nous 3-5 photos qui représentent clairement votre travail.
* Si vous avez un site Etsy, un groupe facebook, un site internet ou un magasin en ligne, envoyez-nous le lien.
* Chaque année, nous recevons un nombre grandissant d’applications. Malheureusement nous ne pouvons pas accepter tout le monde. Une fois de plus, nous vous prions de ne pas nous envoyer de messages nous demandant si vous avez été admis, ceux qui le seront recevront un courriel de confirmation le 10 Novembre. S’il vous plaît ne pas nous envoyer de messages de bêtises si vous n’êtes pas accepté. Nous travaillons fort pour créer un événement varié et il n’y a pas de guarantie d’admission, même si vous avez participé à la foire dans le passé.

It’s getting chilly, time to send in your applications for this year’s holiday Puces! It will all go down on December 18-19th at the St-Enfant Jesus church on St-Dominique and St-Joseph. Hurry up and send us the following information before November 8th!
* Send over 3-5 good, clear pictures with your application.
* If you have an Etsy site, a facebook group, a website or online store please send us a link.
* Once again, we ask you to please not send us emails asking if you got in, everyone who is in will be notified by November 10th. Please do not send angry emails if you are not accepted. We do our best to make Puces Pop an event with variety and new finds, time after time. There are no guarantees, even if you’ve been a Puces Pop vendor in the past. Each year, we receive an overwhelming amount of great applications and are unable to accept everyone we want to include.
