Kids or grown ups alike can follow these simple steps with this cute Fish Drawing guide! I would recommend creating this with a pencil, as you can erase if you have any mistakes. But you can always draw over him with an ink Pen or marker when you are done, to define him some more. Have fun creating Fish!
Fish Drawing Step 1
Step 1: Let’s draw the Fish’s body. Sketch out a Curved line on the top and another one on the bottom, they will intersect at the tail. Leave a little space for the mouth. And draw in a circle for his eye, and a filled in black circle for this pupil. Make sure you leave a bit of space for the highlight to reflect some shine.
Step 2:
Step 2: Next draw a curved line to the right of his eye for his gills. Then draw around his tail as shown, making the line wavy at the end.
Step 3: Add a couple of lines by his mouth, to create the Fish’s lips. Add a fin to the right of his Gill line. Sketch some more fins on the the top and bottom of this body as shown. Then create a dotted line along the middle section of his body. At this point you have a very nice Simple Cartoon Fish drawing and you could stop now if you wanted. He’s pretty cute! For those who want more of a challenge you can continue on with the next step.

Step 4: Add the additional details as shown above. You can really see his scales now and the extra details create some more interest and realism for you Fish.

Step 5: The only thing left to do now is to color in your funny Fish! Go grab your markers, Crayola crayons, oil pastels or color pencils, or whatever you have on hand, and finish your artwork masterpiece! I colored this one in with a yellow and blue, but you can let your creativity go wild and use whatever colors you like! You can make a Tropical version with bold bright color combos or create a more subdued version in lighter shades. You get to decide!

Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing an Easy Fish
How to Draw a Great Looking Easy Fish for Kids, Beginners, and Adults – Step 1
1. Begin the easy fish outline by drawing two curved lines. On one end, leave a space between the lines for the fish’s tail. On the other, bend one line backwards, overlapping the other line. This forms the fish’s smiling mouth.

2. Begin drawing the tail. For each of the two tail fins, use two curved lines that meet at a point.

3. Finish drawing the fish’s tail. Then, draw its eye. First, draw a curved line above the mouth. On top of this line enclose a partial oval. Shade a smaller oval inside it.

4. Draw the dorsal fin on the fish’s back. Use three lines that meet at squared points.

5. Draw a long curved line differentiating the fish’s head from its body. Then, enclose the anal fin on the bell. Again, use three curved lines that meet at squared points.
