We had a wonderful night and cannot wait for the next painting party! Hope that you try one too. Come see our kitchen decorated for Christmas!

Christmas Party Ideas for Kids and Adults.

You are familiar with the drill during a Christmas party: ugly sweater parties and Secret Santa gift exchanges. There are also different Christmas theme parties, such as tree trimming party or ornament crafting party. There are also tons of Christmas party game ideas for kids, teens and adults to set the mood for Christmas festivities.

But have you ever thought to channel your holiday cheer into more creative outlets?

There are some great ideas for Christmas activities that can inspire kids’ creativity, challenge them to think, and most of all, let them have fun!

  1. Decorate your home with festive Christmas tree and make your own crafts and ornaments for your Christmas tree.
  2. Plan in advance your Christmas menu. Christmas Cookie decorations or Gingerbread man baking is a lot of fun for kids.

Paint Zone Art Studio offers another fun way of celebrating Christmas with your family, colleagues or friends. Painting parties, paint and sip parties, mobile painting parties at your office, house or venue of your choice or at our art studio in Rutherford.

This year we offered a special unique Christmas party for kids with a perfect activity for a cold day such as painting a birdhouse. There are many beautiful painted bird houses in every color and design imaginable but we chose a Christmas theme, gingerbread house to decorate a backyard and attract nesting birds.

The main attraction of our Christmas Party was of course Santa Clause. He visited our studio, talked to each child and listened to all their wishes. Kids got a Christmas gift from Santa and took a picture with him. Singing and dancing together with Santa was a big hit for our Christmas Party with Santa in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Follow us on facebook and you’ll get updates on all our fun activities for kids and adults. We offer costume parties, we often invite different cartoon characters to our events organized for kids. Your kids will be able to take pictures with an Easter Bunny or a Minion. Always different, always fun.

Canvases in bulk packs , Americana or any squeeze bottles of paints , metallic mesh runner, mason jar mugs, candy canes, a variety of acrylic brushes, mini glass ornaments and Merry Christmas tags found in the dollar bin. (I used plate stands but if you can afford or have easels that is even more artist!)

Each artist gets a disposable plate for a palette and an adjustable easel. Adding canvases, dinner napkins for cleaning brushes, paints and supplies. Simple polka dotted bulbs are hung from the chandelier at different heights with curling ribbon. large red planters are turned up side down and serve as paint brush centerpiece stands.

The Girls Arrive

And They And They And They IMG_6440_2

Each girls canvas was a reflection of their own style. Some painted fast and didn’t bother staying in the lines and others meticulously followed my instruction to a T. In the end they all were beautiful and a perfect gift to take home and display for the holidays.

All done and happy!

Social Artworking Christmas Painting Party

Hello there, happy first day of December! Are you ready for the holidays? I have such a fun party idea for you today… perfect for the holidays or just a fun girls night! Have you ever been to a painting party event? I’ve been to a few and let’s just say the pieces of art I created (I use the term “art” very loosely) are not adorning anyone’s walls. If anyone would have told me that I would go from painting party drop out to actually guiding my friends through a party of my own I would have laughed. Fast forward to now, and when the nice people at Social Artworking asked me to host one, that’s exactly what I did. Lol’ed, in fact!

So first let me tell you about Social Artworking. This is such a fun concept! First, you pick out the design you want to paint, then you use their party planner guide to calculate what supplies you need based on your number of guests. You can either use one of their consultants to teach your class (you can find them here) or order online for a DIY style party. We did the Spread Cheer design, you can browse all of their fun designs here.

We did the DIY style party… I sent out an invite to let everyone know what we would be doing (you can download a blank printable version of my invitation here); there were 8 of us total.

Christmas Painting Party Invitation

I was so excited to get out my snowman decorations and host my girls for some painting, eating and sipping!

Christmas Painting Party - such a fun party idea! Christmas Painting Party - snowman theme of course!

You guys! This was so beyond fun! When I tell you that you don’t need to be an artist to end up with a beautiful painting, I mean you don’t need to be an artist to end up with a beautiful painting! All of my friends walked in saying the same thing I did, that this would be a fun get together but that their painting would end up in the closet or even in the trash. So if we can all do it, truly anyone can!

You get everything you need to host your painting party in the Social Artworking kit… canvases, easels, paint brush sets, paint, the design template, transfer paper and very detailed instructions of the steps of the painting.

The template and carbon transfer paper make the project so easy! You just slide the transfer paper under the template and trace the outline of the painting onto the canvas and follow the step by step directions from there.

After the canvases were traced, we were ready to go!

Every single painting turned out amazing! I was so tickled when my friends texted me pics of where they hung their paintings. Before everyone left they were already asking when we can do it again. Soon ladies, soon.

So cute, right?! Feel free to give my girlfriends a shout out in the comments. I’d love for you to check out the designs and tell me which party you would want to have!
