Elementary wine glass painting ideas

How cute is this little guy? I love the more realistic effect that you get from the snow medium, and once you pop a little LED light in the glass, the illumination looks fantastic. These aren’t for drinking, of course, but would look great as decorations on a mantelpiece or even as gifts.

Winter Wine Glass Paint Party + Workshop!

Join us for a fun and creative evening at our Winter Wine Glass Paint Party at Julas on the Potomac!

I hope you’re excited to party as we create a beautiful winter scene on a wine glass.

Wednesday, November 29, 2023 6:00 PM-8:30 PM44 Canal Center Plaza #4th Floor, Alexandria, VA 22314

Jula’s on the Potomac waterfront restaurant offers a fresh, bright and inspiring atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned painter or a beginner, our talented instructors will guide you through the process, ensuring a delightful experience for everyone!

During the workshop, you’ll have the chance to learn a new type of paint technique and complete your own Birch tree cardinal designed wine glass. Every painter will be given a complementary glass of “Butter Bubbles Champagne” for a welcome toast.

It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, have fun, and create lasting memories. At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your beautifully painted wine glass as a special keepsake or a thoughtful gift for someone!

Christmas Characters

Christmas Characters

We’re all very well acquainted with the usual Christmas characters, like dear old Santa, his red-nosed reindeer, the grumpy Grinch, and the chilly snowman. These characters are fun to recreate on wine glasses, and you can really go all out with the embellishing, adding glitter, pom poms, ribbons, bells, and whatever else you may have in your crafting arsenal.

Decorating with Sharpies

Decorating with Sharpies

I’ve shown you how to personalize mugs with the help of Sharpies, and you can actually apply that same principle to wine glasses, too. Metallic gold and silver are the perfect colors for Christmas! A lovely idea would be to actually use these glasses at the dinner table, and then allow your guests to take theirs home afterwards as thoughtful little parting gifts and mementos of the night.

Sparkly Fun

Sparkly Fun

Christmas is the perfect time to bring out the sparkle, so I’d take full advantage! A bit of paint and glitter can completely Christmas-ify regular wine glasses. You can use these purely as decoration, or you can actually keep them for their primary purpose; in the case of the latter, just make sure not to have any paint or glitter too close to the rim of the glass where your mouth would touch.
