This workshop is about developing a floral painting with Acrylics using the gold leaf process as a background or accent to add that extra metallic light touch. We’ll begin with drawing the floral image (a color print will be provided for reference) with an HB graphite pencil and using Acrylics as the painting base, then allow the image to dry. Once the image has cured the gold leaf process will begin on the dried surface. Goldleaf is floated over the adhesive area to either the accent portion or the background. The acrylic image can be either a traditional one or a contemporary abstract one – the artist’s choice.
