This is an original pleinair painting I did of a forgotten corner of Parc La Fontaine, overgrown with ivy and illuminated by one of the parc’s original street lamps. This corner is nestled between the path around the South Pond and the construction site for the new Théâtre de Verdure, because of which, access has been restricted. Even though the pond has been emptied, there are still pools of boggy rainwater and many mosquitoes. I had to sit in the grass to get this view, and I have the bites to prove it – so itchy – the perils of being an expeditionary artist! This painting is for someone who loves the fall season, and a cozy and timeless mood. Ideal artwork for any living or working space.
Watercolour, 5 x 7″ with professional light-fast pigments on 100% cotton paper. The painting is signed by me, JC Little, on the front and has the title and date on the back. I will include a certificate of authenticity with this painting. It will be packaged with an archival sleeve, a stiff cardboard backing and a bubble wrap envelope to protect it. To avoid waste, where ever possible I will re-use mailers and other packaging materials. It’s recommended to frame it behind glass, with an acid-free matte, to preserve the painting from deterioration. Display away from direct sunlight.
