Painting of the autumn sky

This inherited weight is normalized and internalized. Unaware of the tools of communication, compassion, and vulnerability that could elevate his unspeakable burden, he swallows his words and puts on a brave face.

Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

Terry practiced as a Registered Nurse for fifteen years, gaining some fame as the “Duck Lady” for drawing cartoon ducks on patient bandages after administering an IV. Studying with Helen Van Wyk (PBS’s “Welcome To My Studio”) in Rockport, Mass. changed her life, and she left nursing to immerse fully in the study of art. Terry has been a professional artist and art teacher for over thirty years now and works in her studio at 73 Main Street, Durham, Ct. She has always been interested in the meditative practices of the art process and research on how the brain works. She uses techniques from Betty Edwards (“Drawing On The Right Side Of The Brain”) and other brain researchers and has developed her own methods to enhance her art study and that of her students. Working outdoors became a passion, and she is seen every year painting at the Durham Fair. She is an elected member of various art associations, including the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club (NYC), New Haven Paint & Clay Club, Lyme Art Association, Connecticut Women Artists, Clinton Art Society and Connecticut Plein Air Painters Society. This Fall she will be featured in the anthology “100 Artists Of New England” compiled by prominent author E. Ashley Rooney. She has been recognized by the National Arts Club in New York City, connected with the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, and has received over a hundred regional and national awards. Her work is included in the Connecticut Collection and is collected in the United States and Europe, including St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, where she worked as a nurse those many years ago.

She teaches private lessons at her studio in all mediums to all ages, with or without “talent.” She loves to help with portfolio preparation and creativity counseling, does pet and house portraits, and a special favorite, drawing and painting vehicles, especially old farm equipment. This website shows a selection of local scenes, florals, still lifes and animal work along with information about upcoming exhibitions and workshops. Contact Terry at 860-349-1485 or .

“I have studied with many fine artists over the years but my number one influence and mentor was my dear friend Helen Van Wyk of Rockport Mass. and PBS TV’s “Welcome To My Studio.” She changed my life. Because of her, and with my husband’s encourgement and support, I left nursing and became a full-time artist. She taught me how to analyze my work, how to study and how to think like a painter. My next important teacher was Charles Sovek, who taught me how to interpret with pure color. Then came another mentor and dear friend, Charles Movalli of Gloucester Mass. He taught me how to compose, be open-minded, be a better teacher and retrieve my sense of humor about the art world. Among my other influences, Charles Reid taught me a better way to draw. LeRoy Neiman taught me to have fun. Robert Henri taught me to paint studies and let paintings happen. John Singer Sargent, Winslow Homer and Edward .

My name is Anthony Lusignan I am a landscape oil painter from Edmonton Alberta. I find nature to be mystical and beautiful and I paint almost anything nature related. Everything I paint comes from inside my head and I sometimes personify nature to represent something or someone in my life. Often my dreams are a source of inspiration, I’ve always believed that within the dreamworld lyes the window to the imagination. When I was young I spent a lot of my free time within nature’s mystical beauty, drawing and listening to the trees whisper and imagining the mysterious world around me often dozing off. I have spent many years playing with different styles and techniques attempting to create a style that brings the mystical dreamy feel through all of my works. I truly believe that a great piece of Art takes a connection to the soul, vision and passion to express it and hard work to make people believe it. I often spend weeks on a painting until I feel I’ve achieved exactly what I envisioned. Some of my other passions in life include ancient philosophy, modern physics and almost any type of instrumental music which usually in one way or another directly influences my artworks.

Embody your vulnerability. Soften, listen, open, yet do not renounce your power. Your focus, determination, protection, provision, and leadership are needed now more than ever. Your strength and your tenderness can alchemize each other into gold.

Please continue to step up and stand tall. Roar your truth when needed, bare your heart always, and stay strong.

We are the children of God, facets of the universe and sparks of the divine fire of creation.

May we remember our own divinity. May we be empowered and heart-centered, and cultivate a new era of healing and wholeness for humanity.

May our hearts be our guide, and burn passionately with love and compassion.

Mary Magdalene was said to be the beloved of Yeshua, his equal, and his greatest supporter in his mission of teaching the Way of Love. She was the feminine embodiment of presence, pleasure, purity, and power.

As an Essene priestess and initiate into the lineage of Isis and the Way of the Rose, she was highly trained in the Egyptian mysteries of healing, alchemy, and Tantra. Over the centuries her name and holiness were distorted and slandered, and she was labeled a whore and sinner. With her descent from honour, so did womankind fall under heavy handed persecution and oppression.

After Jesus’s death and resurrection Mary was said to have fled Palestine for Egypt before settling in the south of France, then perhaps also traveling into the Isles of Scotland. Mary was pregnant and birthed a child, Sarah Tamar, who carried the bloodline of the Christ forward into the present day. Some say this bloodline is what the true Holy Grail refers to. Her womb, the chalice, literally holds the blood of Christ.

Within Christianity, Mary Magdalene was known as the “Apostle of the Apostles”, and in 2016 the Vatican issued a formal apology for demeaning and slandering her for centuries, intentionally omitting her words and perspective from the gospel. July 22nd was dedicated in her honor as her holy Feast Day.

In recent years we have witnessed her consciousness growing stronger, and with it the rising of the divine feminine.

As the sacred mother and divine lover, she urges us to reclaim our sovereignty, embrace our sensual nature, remember our erotic innocence, and to pave a new path of embodied leadership. We are remembering a way of living in alignment with nature, reawakening our intuition, and returning into a heart centred way of being. We are coming back into balance with ourselves, each other, the earth, and all beings.

Through this we will find the union of divine masculine and feminine within us, and embody ourselves as whole and holy.
