Emerald Bay by Vladimir Volegov

I am a huge fan of Vladimir Volegov. He is an extremely talented oil painter who specializes in romantic female portraits. Notice how he combines fine rendering and brushwork with a looser, more impressionistic background.

Unfortunately, the artist was not disclosed in this video. However, whoever it is, he has an amazing oil painting technique. He paints with beautiful confidence and boldness which you rarely see.

This is a beautiful plein air demonstration by Andy Dolphin. He provides some insightful commentary throughout the video of his process.
