How do you decorate a turkey with colors?

How colorful? And full of texture! Great use of household ingredients; lentils, elbow macaroni, rice, and tissue paper!

Learn and Color Thanksgiving Turkey Craft and Free Template for Kids

Kids can paint a colorful turkey to celebrate Thanksgiving this November as they learn colors. The turkey craft template comes in two options so kids can decorate their turkey any way they wish, or use the template with color labels to practice learning and reading names of colors. The labeled template requires 8 colors of paint which I know sounds like a mess waiting to happen but see how we used Kwix Stix to keep this craft project mess free and download the free craft template to keep your Thanksgiving crafting easy!

We received Kwix Stix for free to be able to provide an honest review for you:

If you haven’t noticed we are always crafting. Every night I have to clear off the kitchen table and move all the day’s artwork to the kitchen counter to dry. Needless to say the kids and I HATE waiting for their artwork to dry because we can’t wait to hang it up on the wall, give it to grandma, or move on to step 2 of our current craft project that requires dry paint. Kwix Stix has figured out how to help children and adults like us who don’t like waiting for paint to dry, or don’t have time for messy paint adventures with their almost instant drying tempera paint sticks. (Here’s a video you can watch Kwix Stix in action here). The video says they dry in 90 seconds but it felt like our dried even faster!

My kid’s thought their Kwix Stix where like magic. They loved rolling on the colors (which look so vibrant) and then running their hand across their paper to find out their painting was ready for the art wall (no kitchen counter needed) and they cleaned up by themselves–just as simple as putting caps on markers. Kwix Stix come in all the colors of the rainbow as well as neon colors, metallics and thin lined painters. See all the options here: Kwix Stix.

The kids described them as a cross between chapstick and paint without the greasy feel and loads of color. They can use them whenever they feel like painting because I don’t have to worry about a mess. We totally recommend them for any artist young or old–Kwix Stix would make a great Christmas present!

Remember to have fun with this project, and flex your creative muscle!

Of course, we just got this same homework handed to us the other day. Now it’s back to the drawing board for us. My son really wants to make a Minion, but my husband and I have other ideas. I have a feeling though, the Minion is going to win. Now, that my son, Ryder, is a year old he has way more opinions which means he is also going to want to do a lot more with his turkey this year!

It’s only fitting I share with you 24+ Turkey in disguise ideas in case you received the same homework that we received, and need some ideas! I had fun snapping photos down the hall of my son’s school, last year. Some of the turkey’s were straight up amazing!
