Beginner’s Pottery Workshop
Come play with clay at our Beginner’s Pottery Workshop – fun times guaranteed.
In this workshop, you will learn how to mould clay into two unique pieces using basic techniques that even you can muster (yes, you!) We will cover a range of beginner-friendly tips and tricks to get you started on your journey into hand-built ceramics.
No prior experience needed as our in-house ceramic artist will guide you from start to finish.
What you need to know:
- Where: The Cab Canvas Studio (2/17 Hulme Court, Myaree)
- When: Saturday the 26th of May, 2023
- Time: Arrive at 1:45pm for a 2.00pm start
Included in your ticket price is:
- 2–2.5 hours of clay-making
- Expert guidance by our ceramic artist
- All pottery equipment & clay provided
- Firing & Glazing by our ceramic artist* (choice of glaze below, you pick on the day!)
- 2 beautiful ceramic pieces you can brag about!
Important Details:
Your piece will be glazed and fired after the workshop is finished. The cost of this is included in the ticket price.
There is a wait time of 4- 6 weeks before you can collect your finished piece. This is the time it takes to dry, glaze and fire your amazing creations. A huge amount of care is exercised when finishing off your handmade items.
Please note that clay is unpredictable and on rare occasions, items break in the kiln. This is all a natural part of the fun of perfecting your craft. Listening and following instructions from our ceramic artist will ensure very minimal risk.
*Choose your glaze out of 6 choices (White, Oat, Aubergine, Denim Blue (light), Ink Blue (dark), Watermelon)
What to bring:
We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. just in case! But don’t worry clay washes right out too!

During this fun online class, you will draw inspiration from The Day of the Dead, a lively Mexican holiday that draws on indigenous and European traditions which include the colourful painting of skulls.
In this creative craft class, you’ll be guided through an easy step by step process by a friendly expert.
You will learn to create and add your own pattern formations and apply bright coloured paint to create a stunning creation that will liven up your home this Hallows Eve.
