A year ago, I got the itch to learn woodworking. My husband has a garage workshop where he builds incredible things, like these farmhouse wooden headboards we designed together. But why should the boys have all the fun?

I’m here to prove that making wooden pumpkins for yard decorations is easier than you think! With just a jigsaw and a scroll saw, I made three wooden pumpkins of varying heights and widths as well as a few stems and leaves. Materials: 1x material, fence pickets and wood glue

Build your own treat holder for trick or treaters. This super simple build uses pallet wood or cedar fence pickets and can be painted or stained any color

Materials: 1x material, fence pickets, nails or staples, and wood glue

This simple to build design can be used indoors or out. The trick is the wood pieces are overlapped, so minimal back framing or support is needed! It’s easy to modify to different sizes and you can use pallet wood or reclaimed wood. This is a great way to add fall beauty to your home + it’s inexpensive and fun!

If you have scrap 4×4 pieces of wood – here’s a great way to add fall decor to your space on a budget! This fun DIY project is easy to do and brings a wood stained element to your home. The 4x4s are more substantial, so these pumpkins can be made taller in height – a great mantle or console table decor element.
