Building Art | Leland, Michigan – Acrylic Painting on Wood
An original colorful acrylic painting on wood board by Heather Harrington. Part of the “Painting the Season” series, titled “Building Art” this painting captures the inspiring and artful Old Art Building in Leland, Michigan during their Festival of Lights. Size is 8 x 8 and 1.5’“ depth. Edges are painted in a very light pretty pastel pink. The painting is ready to be hung and doesn’t need a frame since it is painted on a wood canvas.
For those that live in Northern Michigan you can select local pick-up if you prefer to pick-up your painting vs. having it shipped. Orders placed during the week can be picked up on Saturdays unless otherwise arranged. The pick-up location, in Traverse City, will be emailed to you after your order is placed. The Inspiration Behind the Painting
The Old Art Building is not only a beautiful old building but it is one of the pillars of Leland. All year round they host wonderful events from music to art shows for people to gather and all to enjoy. I have had the pleasure of being involved in their Holiday Festival, HollyPop, for a few years and I am always amazed and inspired by the creativity and sense of community that comes from this little gem in Leland, Michigan.
This December, I had the honor of decorating one of their Christmas trees for this year’s Festival of Lights. The theme is the 12 Days of Christmas, seeing all of the decorated trees is a wonderful sight to see for anyone who stops by! I love how the Old Art Building uses creativity to spread joy to all during these challenging times. This sentiment inspired me to paint the painting above, titled “Building Art”. I hope it brings you a little joy this season!

Delivery of items offered in our online store is limited to an address in the United States including U.S. territories, Alaska, and Hawaii. Shipments cannot be delivered to PO Boxes.
Pricing:
Orders totalling over $100 that are being shipped to the US will have the option for free UPS ground shipping (excluding Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii and orders containing digital products, MDF boards, brush sets & canvases).
